Database Engineer (Remote Opportunity)

The Data Visualization, Analysis, and Reporting System (DVARS) will provide modular processing, visualization, and reporting capabilities allowing users to access quality NAS data and perform modeling, analysis, and trending. DVARS will provide access to web distributed applications.

DVARS will use daily ATC operations tracking to provide analysis capabilities to help integrate new types of user technologies into the airspace and evaluate their effectiveness. Products of this system include metrics, reports, and briefings to help the FAA identify deficiencies and develop proposals to improve potential gaps in NAS performance.

Job Description:

Serves as the database engineering lead. Database engineers are in charge of designing and maintaining the DVARS data model and the associated data processes for receiving, validating and parsing inbound data, developing procedures for managing the live database, to include archiving of older operational data. They must constantly test the data that is coming from the database to ensure it is not corrupted. Most databases require constant updates to keep up ever-changing computer technologies. Database engineers integrate new products and software packages into the system, and seeing that the data produced is accurate. They may even train other employees in the organization on how to access a database and how


Bachelor s Degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics or an equivalent discipline is required and ten (10) years experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to, experience with managing a company's flow of information. Database engineer designs and maintains a database that provides informative and relevant data to other employees within the organization. Experience with Cloud and Big-data a must. Database engineers may be employed by companies that make use of large amounts of information. This position is NOT for a DBA.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
