Responsibilities:
We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our HR team and assist in managing admin tasks in HR and Finance.
The Administrative Assistant will perform administrative duties related to the operations of the human resource and finance office.
Roles:
Supports the human resources department by screening, testing, and interviewing applicants.
Answers and directs departmental phone calls.
Receives and distributes office mail.
Post office runs for Finance and Human Resources Filing checks for Finance Handling vendor invoices as well as purchasing invoices and matching with purchase orders Schedules and organizes appointments; takes minutes during departmental meetings.
Proofreads and types documents and correspondence produced by the department.
Prepares purchase orders for the human resource office.
Prepares payroll e.
g distributing checks, and maintaining payroll records.
Provides assistance with orientation for new employees by providing information packets, reviewing company policies, gathering withholding and other payroll information, explaining benefit programs, and obtaining signatures for documents.
Maintains human resources records for employees by recording the hiring, transfer, termination, change in job classifications, and merit increase dates as well as tracking vacation, sick, and personal time.
Administers employee benefit programs including, medical insurance, savings bond, and disability programs by advising employees of eligibility, providing application information, helping with form completion, verifying submission, and notifying employees of approvals.
Documents and tracks human resources actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
Sets up and schedules complicated meetings for interviewees, hiring managers, employees, and department heads.
Accomplishes human resources department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Administrative training required and two years of administrative assistant experience preferred.

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
